iconTwo members of the province, Sr Patricia Cusick and Sr Anne MacNally, travelled to Rome to attend a memorial service for Hubert Richards.  As a young man, Bert (as he was known to his friends), had been a student at the English College.  He became a well known and much respected Biblical Scholar and writer, and taught Scrpture for most of his life.  After the Second Vatican Council he was invited by Cardinal Heenan to set up a Catechetical college where Scripture, Theology and Catechetics could be taught in the light of the reforms of Vatican II. This College was set up in the property of the Sisters of Sion in West London.  During these years a good relationship was established with Bert and the Sisters of Sion
