Convent of Notre Dame de Sion,
Ein Karem
Ein Karem is a beautiful village on the outskirts of
Jerusalem. It is the place where Christian pilgrims traditionally remember the
Visitation and the birth of John the Baptist.
Our house at Ein Karem was built by Alphonse Ratisbonne in 1863. Today it has a guest house for visitors from Israel and pilgrims from around the world. The garden of Ein Karem is well known for its beauty and peace.
