Invocation

Sr Anne Lee attended the 'Invocation' Weekend at Oscott College, the Seminary for the education of priests, in Birmingham. 'Invocation' was a weekend for weekend festival for young people who are discerning a call to Religious Life and Priesthood.

There were over 400 people there - a big mixture of religious sisters, brothers and priests (both apostolic and contemplative), diocesan priests, seminarians, and many young people. It was a great picture of enthusiasm and commitment within the Church.

The weekend was made up of Mass each day, times of prayer, some excellent talks, and very interesting discussions as well as workshops on a variety of different subjects. There were also times to be quiet, or to chat to people over a drink.

Many of the religious orders who were present had a display to show their charism and their work. Above is our display.
