Province Weekend, Llandudno

The mountains and sea looked spectacular and welcoming in the sunshine, as sisters arrived on Friday. It was great to welcome each one to this country..

Sr Brigid and her staff were very attentive to our every need, and we learned our way around the numerous corridors and staircases. That's not to say we did not get lost!!!!!

Teresa enthused about Shavouth, and her enthusiasm was contagious! Her eyes positively sparkled and danced as she encouraged everyone to share their knowledge and love of scripture. The sessions were fun, stimulating and very interesting. The story of Ruth was dramatised by some groups on Sunday morning amidst much laughter. It was a very enriching experience. Thank you Teresa it was superb

During Saturday afternoon, Isabel, Tessa, Therese and Pat shared their 'healing hands' skills with us all, offering Reiki, Reflexology, Massage and Indian Head Massage. They were all greatly appreciated and their appointments fully signed up. It was absolutely wonderful! Thanks to each one.

circle dancingFor an hour on Saturday just before supper we enjoyed Circle Dance with Bernadette, one of the sisters from Noddfa. She just simply delights in Circle Dance and is an excellent teacher. We did a selection of dances from Israel, France, Romania, Ireland and several other places. I think we danced really well and had fun! There was plenty of time to walk and chat with one another, and the pace of the weekend allowed space and was non - pressured.

The celebration of Mass on Saturday had involved a great deal of preparation by the Dublin Community and Piaras Jackson sj. The Mass was very prayerful, and time was taken to participate fully in all that was happening. It was beautiful and offered us all an opportunity to renew our vows together. Piaras was great and participated in the whole weekend with us all. So much better than 'importing a priest' just for the celebration of Mass. We all owe a big thank you to the team; Isabel, Maureen O'Connor, Tessa and Clare (who was link person with the Provincial team), who spent time and energy preparing for this brilliant weekend.
