We are really delighted to be able to send this communication to you from Brigitte Agnès and from us. This foundation is another great gift from the Spirit, who encourages us to move and to pioneer as our early foundresses did. We will be united with all of you - contemplative and apostolic sisters across the congregation on March 25th.2006

We have great joy in announcing the opening of a new community of the Solitude at Iasi in Roumania.

Roumania is one of the first countries in which Fr Theodore founded Sion: on 14 March it will be 140 years since the first sisters arrived there, including so many years of suffering. We are responding to a call from Roumania, in the joy of making the Congregation there "present in its two forms, apostolic and contemplative" (cf. General Chapter 2004).

We would like to express here our deep gratitude to our sisters in Roumania who have prepared for our arrival in the house at Copou; we want to be close to them.

Sr Dorothée, Sr Claire Elisabeth and Sr Marie Alphonse who will form the community, are coming from three different communities: Bartrès, Grandbourg, and Ein Karem. Sr Madalena Maria, from the community in Curitiba, will be there to help them during the first two months. Sr Claudia also, who is at Ein Karem for a year of formation, is waiting to be able to come and join this foundation in her country, that she wanted so much.

This commitment asks for audacity and courage from our communities, so we are counting on your support and your prayer.

The opening of the community will be celebrated on 25 March 2006, by a Eucharist.
