UNANIMA Board Meeting
Sr Therese Fitzgerald (far left, front row), a sister from this province of UK / Ireland, recently represented the Congregation at the UNANIMA International Board Meeting in New York.
At this meeting the members of Unanima decided to develop an anti-demand education and awareness packet related to trafficking in women and children for sexual exploitation. The packet would focus the campaign, first with our member congregations and then with the public at large.
UNANIMA is a coalition of 14 congregations of religious women, with members on all continents, committed to work at the United Nations for peace and human dignity in response to the needs of:
- Women and children living in poverty
- Immigrants and refugees
- The welfare of the planet.
