Celebration of Sion's 150 years in Jerusalem
On Saturday May 6th, the Sisters of Sion in Jerusalem celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Sions arrival in the Holy City.
On 6th May, 1856, four sisters, Sisters Maire Noemi, Electa, Victorine and Marthe arrived from France. They had an adventurous journey, travelling by horseback from Haifa to Jerusalem.
They were the first of many sisters and brothers of sion who have lived and worked in our houses of Ecce Homo and Ein Karem.
