Golden Jubilee of Sr Elise Saudan
The Welcome given by Sr Anthony
On behalf of the Worthing community I welcome you all
to our celebration of Elise's Golden Jubilee. Thank you for accepting the
invitation. We know that the journey to come hasn't been all that easy. We also
know that we are going to have a prayerful and joyful day. We always do when we
get together - a sign of a good Sionian vocation.We will be remembering and thanking God for those who
have had a part in Elise's journey. Her parents, sisters and
brothers, and Sion at Holloway who had her in their school from her earliest
years. We have a sister here today - Maria - who remembers her as a little girl
in school. We remember also the priests who have ministered the sacraments to
her, Fr Kieren being their representative today. Thank you Father for
celebrating Mass for us today and we wish you a happy holiday.Elise has always been a blessing whereever she has been in Sion. 'To be a blessing' is one of our aims. Elise has a head start.
