Sarah's official welcome to the Congregation by Sr Anne Bickford, Director of Formation
Anne: Sarah, you've been waiting a long time for this occasion. Like Samuel you have heard and responded to God's call to you on many occasions.
As you hear God's call today what do you request?
Sarah: I'd like to join the community of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sion.
Anne: In the Gospel we have heard the great commandment to love. Jesus has chosen you to go out with others and bear fruit that will last. He promises that whatever you ask in God's name will be given to you. Your generosity in love will be rewarded by love.
Why have you chosen to join us?
Sarah: I feel I am being called to continue to explore and discern my vocation in the community of Our Lady of Sion. I trust in the God of Scripture and the God of gentle invitation who continually calls his people to life in its fullness. I hope that this call to new life will enrich both my self and the community to which I hope to join in love.
Anne: May this time of ongoing discernment be truly fruitful and lifegiving. We will support you in every way we can as you discern God's call.
