Province Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

As part of our 150 year jubilee Celebrations a group of us went on a Pilgrimage Retreat the the Holy Land. Our group was made us of sisters from this province and some of our friends and associates. The retreat was led by Fr Tom Rosica, CEO of Salt and Light TV in Canada. The first half of our pilgrimage we stayed at Ecce Homo Convent in the old City of Jerusalem. It was so good to be in a Sion house and to be welcomed by our sisters there.

During our time in Jerusalem we visited Bethlehem, the holy places in the Old City and the Mount of Olives, and Emmeus. We had one special day at our house in the village of Ein Karem, the traditional place of the Visitation (Luke 1:39-45).

The second half of our retreat was near the Sea of Galilee. We were privileged to have time to pray at the holy places around the Sea of Galilee. One highlight of our stay there was a boat ride on the Lake.

Our visits to Nazareth and Mount Tabor, the mount of the Transfiguration were also very memorable.
