The events of our world and of our lives urge us
to hear the cry of the poor and
to respond anew
to the call of God to do justice.

The history of the Jewish People
makes us particularly sensitive
to the rights of minorities, or the poor, and
of all who are marginalized in our society.

These situations provoke our reflection
and our prayer;
they demand concrete commitments.
(Constitutions No 15)

*********************************************
As consecrated women in Sion, living on many continents, we believe that we will be a blessing for the world if we
  • if our lives give witness to a culture of peace and solidarity, especially with women who seek a way out of oppression and long to be recognized as persons with dignity, strength and tenderness,, in order to bring about change in the world
  • if we know how to be in solidarity with the excluded, the marginalized, and all who work for justice and peace in a commitment to the universal dream and Project of God, who wants life for everyone.
("To be a Blessing" General Chapter document, 2004" )

************************************************

We commit ourselves to promote understanding, trust, justice and peace, in situations where relationships are damaged or broken, especially where there is
  • antisemitism and Islamophobia,
  • injustice, prejudice, racism, fear ,ageism,
  • marginalization, exclusion,
  • violence and brokenness,
  • poverty, depravation and human need
