The Sisters of Sion at Ecce
Homo Convent in the Old City of Jerusalem invite volunteers for a term of about
three months to share their ministry of hospitality to pilgrims and to students
of the Biblical Programme.We welcome volunteers from all over the world. The volunteer programme is an enriching experience both for the volunteers and for the resident community of Ecce Homo.
Volunteer work includes::
- Welcoming pilgims to our Guest House
- Serving the guests in the dining room
- Welcoming Pilgrim groups to the Lithostrotos (the Roman pavement under the house which is traditionally associated with the Trial of Jesus)
Criterior for volunteer work
- Volunteers work for 30 hours a week in exchange for their room and board
- Volunteers usually commit themselves for a period of three months.
